Wonderfully designed double beaded Neapolitan coffee stovetop pots are traditional Italian manual coffee makers from town of Napoli, on the Mediterranean coat. Known in Italy like La Caffettiera Napoletana, or La Cuccumella, Americans often call it the flip drip because you do actually flip the entire unit over to finish brewing the coffee. They are quite beautiful but they are rather expensive. Neapolitan pot combines the characteristics of espresso and percolator coffee, except for one important point. While Moka Pot uses steam pressure to force the water through the grounds, Neapolitan pot only uses the force of gravity to do it. Handled expertly Neapolitan pot can produce an adequate 'espresso type' coffee in just few minutes!

The pot is composed of a few pieces.
- Bottom part holds the water.
- The middle chamber holds the ground coffee and has a filter on top.
- The top chamber is a container with a serving spout.

1. Pour the water into the lower half of the pot
2.  Add the Ground coffee to the stainless steel filter basket
3.  Screw the pot together
4. Put the pot on the stove
5. After the water in the lower chamber is brought to a boil, take the pot off the stove  (When the water starts boiling, you'll see the steam exiting the vent hole.) Turn the entire unit upside down. The hot water that was in the bottom container is now on top and starts drips through the coffee ground into the serving pot. Allow the coffee to brew for three to five minutes when it's finished it will stop dripping.
6.  Now you can remove the top unit and filter and replace them with the small aluminum cap (“cuppitiello”) to prevent the hot air from escaping to keep the coffee hot.
7. When coffee is done serve immediately.

The coffee made in this type of pot usually has a slightly different grind, in between an espresso and drip coffee (American style). Making Neapolitan coffee is time-consuming process, and you need some experience to use it proper. But you will be awarded with wonderful rich tasted Italian style coffee.

CaffeMaker  Neapolitana Flip Coffee Tips:

Tip: Hold both handles firmly while turn the entire unit upside down.

Tip: Flip over the pot just before the water start boiling.

Tip: For a good cup of Neapolitan coffee use a very dark, finely ground "Neapolitan" style roast (size between espresso and automatic drip). If the coffee is ground too fine, the grinds will cake up and prevent water from filtering through.
