If you want to make espresso coffee without spending hundreds of dollars on a domestic electric espresso machine use the stovetop espresso.  This is also the simplest way to make espresso. As you know, espresso is very strong coffee. The name is Italian and means 'made under pressure' rather than 'quickly' as many people think. The espresso coffee made in these stovetop pots can be bitter, because the water is boiling when it passes through the grounds, and have characteristic complex and strong flavour.
1. Place cold water in the bottom of the espresso maker.
2.Fill the middle container with coffee to full capacity without tamping it down.
3. Screw the pot together.
4. Place on heating source. When the water boils, the pressure of the steam pushes the boiling water up through the grounds in a single pass producing the characteristic hissing sound and has condensed as coffee in the top half of the pot.
5. When all the water is gone from the lower half, the gurgling sounds stops and the coffee is ready. Take espresso maker off of heat.
6.    Let settle a few minutes and than serve coffee.

CaffeMaker Stovetop Espresso Coffee Tips:

Tip: Always make a full pot, as they do not operate well when half full. Stovetop espresso makers are available in a few different sizes so you can use right size.

Tip: After making a pot, you must wait a few minutes for the pot to cool down before you can use it again, so they are not really suitable for making large amounts of espresso.
